I've got two months left on my six month lease and I'm eager to move out of here - the main problem has been noise, a combination of thudding bass music and screaming college students on the weekends. Other points: the apartment itself is ok, appliances are all relatively new and work, still, everything about the place is clearly done as cheaply as possible. The kitchen is a joke, you can barely open the refrigerator without hitting the dishwasher. Similar for the bathroom, it's like something out of a Motel Six or worse, the smallest toilet I've ever seen, and I'm not a large person. This is not a furnished apartment, but when I moved in the shower had no shower curtain!!!! Locks on the apartments, mailboxes, rec room etc. are all cheap and poorly maintained. Finding a parking space can be a bit of a hassle on the weekends. Management ( specifically: Robert) seems friendly until you've signed a lease, and then gets pretty rude and bossy. Getting deliveries is a constant problem. The only time I had maintenance performed here there was about a six hour wait between the time the guy said he was coming and the time he showed up, but I guess that's not unusual. The "free utilities" seem like a good deal but aren't, at least not during the winter, the only real appeal would be to riff-raff and irresponsible college students. Speaking of riff-raff, there are some pretty seedy characters living here, I've seen plenty of evidence of prostitution and drug activity. Security was non-existent until the past month or so, now guards occasionally patrol the grounds and give you dirty looks. Traffic at the nearest major intersection ( Ft Lowell and Campbell) can be fierce. All in all, no reason to move here unless you work really nearby or you're a student looking for a place where you can carry on to your heart's content, even then there are plenty of other dumps just like this one but cheaper, I have no doubt that one could do far better for less money in a city like Tucson.
