The grounds are beautiful. But there are people who will walk their dogs and not clean up on them. The tennis courts are cracked and decaying. The pools were closed many days due to green algea buildup. I later learned that they ran out of chemicals and refused to buy more until the next cycle in which they buy them. I had many leaks from old PVC plastic plumbing. The noise from surrounding apartments is unbearable. You can hear your neighbors sneeze.
There were numerous car break-ins. The maintence staff is far too overworked. There are many broken light fixtures around the grounds. The community is not gated in the traditional sense, and the gates leading to the apartments are usually propped open. Your water bill facilitates a couple of green pools and walkways getting watered by errant sprinklers. The water sprinklers come on at the most inopportune times...why not water at 3 or 4 in the morning? This whole summer I dealt with water sprinklers coming on between 5 and 6pm. Usually when most people are coming home from work, or want to BBQ.
Finally, they are withholding my deposit for normal wear and tear on the place. I had nothing but headaches living there, and with each successive turnover in the front office, bought into their false promises about improvements. I am thankful I saved up enough money to get the heck out of there. I'm sure there are worse places to live in Tucson, but there are definately better places too. |
