Reviewer:   Appleaday09@yahoo.com   Review Date:  8/16/06      Rate This Apartment     Since the first day I moved here 2 years ago, my air conditioning leaked and had to place a big bucket underneath it to catch the water. It took several attempts to get it to not leak. The repair man finally took it apart and actually opened it up and re-do the ceilling. Now it's leaking again and they've been to my apartment 3 times and it's still not fixed. Also my kitchen sink is leaking and the water went through my cabinet next to the cabinet under the sink. My friend in the next building has the same problems with the AC and once her toilet over flowed and the water line in the apartment broke and water was all OVER the place in the house and smelled like a sewer. It took them days to have them clean that up but the smell was still there because it was in the carpet. I recently (on the 10th of Aug) gave this apartment a notice to vacate because I'm moving to a new place on the 17th. I recieved a letter from Meridian East prior to my lease ending that if I was to vacate, it said that I must leave a 30 days notice with the office... which I did. Come for the time for me to sign my paperwork to vacate my apartment, it said that I need to leave a notice on the 1st of the month which makes it too late for me to vacate on the 17th of sept. Now they're telling me that I have to pay a full month's rent for sept. I move in sept 17TH at my new place and now have to pay 2 rents for half of the month. Which is a bunch of crap because when new tenants come in, they pro-rate your rent if you move in the middle of the month. So beware of this technicality that these money hungry apartments will charge you for their crappy service and living space!!
