I lived in Silverwood Terrace for a year. Within my first few months, I found that there a few little things that I could report to the office, such as the missing window screen, the burners on my stove being broken, the weather stripping being ripped, etc. My toilet broke. This was within a first few weeks of living there, and I waited forever, finally resorting to fixing it myself. None of the other things WERE EVER REPLACED OR REPAIRED AND THAT IS AFTER A YEAR. The place is awful. There's no amenities other than free water. Big whoop. The "fitness center" they advertise has a few weight machines and a stairmaster that is broken. I have never seen anyone use it, ever, and I tried to once but gave up after being frustrated. The office is always opening and closing, as if the staff and management just feel comfortable taking 600 daily breaks leaving the place unsupervised. The residents are generally loud and party types, not college kids, though, sort of older people who cuss a lot and act like jerks, real trash. I was even threatened by some tenants after literally MONTHS ON END of complaining about their noise levels which caused a great deal of stress to someone who goes to school AND works. Their bass vibrated my floor (I was upstairs), and the office never seemed to do anything. I called the cops twice! Finally action was taken but the people still tried to intimidate me as I left my apartment, which became a problem. The staff isn't even friendly. There was one maintenance guy who was nice once, but I think he's gone now. The laundry room is always hot and a mess. This place is a dump. I feel sorry for anyone who moves here. I should have left the moment I got there, as I walked past the pool and saw two men passing a joint back and forth. |
