However, my overall observation and opinion is that this is a good place to live with quite helpful staff - especially in the area of maintenance. Both of the maintenance men work very hard, are always polite and professional, and although extremely busy, they usually are able to handle maintenance requests within 12 to 24 hours. The office staff is fairly new - within the past six months - and have shown themselves to be a good improvement over the previous office staff! They are always polite, never argumentative, and do their best to attend to tenants requests as fast as possible. The apartment layouts are extremely unique (definitely not boxy) in design and very nicely appointed, including a good size fireplace with both a hearth as well as a wood mantle. If you get an upper apartment, there is a skylight in the bathroom. The only concern with this apartment community is the landscaping throughout and the maintenance of the pools/Jacuzzi areas. The landscaping is due to the contracted landscaping company - not following through with regular maintenance. In talking with the property manager, this issue is being resolved within the next week or so. The maintenance of the pools and Jacuzzi?s is two fold - the pools are fine, but the Jacuzzi?s break down quite often and seem to need a LOT of maintenance. The office staff is working with the mgmt. company (Con Am) to have a complete overhaul done on the Jacuzzi?s and pools this summer - the project is scheduled to be completed by the end of summer. The other concern with this area is the pool area itself - primarily the secondary pool located towards the back of the community. While the actual pool and Jacuzzi area kept quite clean, the pool deck, furniture, and landscaping around both the pool and the clubhouse are NOT well kept. The fountain in this area is beautiful, but needs cleaning! The bushes and trees not only need landscaping (!!) but there is a large problem with birds pooping all over the pool deck and sidewalks. In a total sense, I would definitely recommend living here - especially for graduate students and young professionals. The community is VERY quite and safe and the staff is very polite! One additional note, the apartments are well built and noise from other apartments is never a problem. The windows could use some updating for energy conservation purposes.
