Apartment Review
Never Again!

1) My roof started to leak one night and broke my computer printer. I reported the leak to the office staff three time before someone came to look at it. When Maintenance finally came to fix it I pointed out where the roof was sagging and instead of fixing THAT spot he siliconed the window. Then it continued to leak. I reported it to the staff AGAIN. This time Maintenance poked a whole in the roof and left. It still isn't fixed and leaks every time it rains. 2) The windows in this place do not fit the frames. This means that when you try to open the window it tilts in the frame and gets stuck. What's worse though, it costs almost a hundred and fourty dollars a month in the summer to cool this place. I call almost every year and the check the A/C freon and filter but nothing really improves. The fact is that the gap in the window is just letting too much heat in. It is also very cold by the windows in the winter. The house is just poorly insulated. 3) My apartment was burglarized last year. I had a window lock on the window but all the theifs had to do was push the window up in the frame and push in because the windows are too small. There is absolutly no security hear. No patrol officers and no cameras. It was between 1 and 4 in the afternoon when my place was robbed. The manager even said she walked by and saw my window open and door open but thought I must have been home. WTH? Why would I have taken the screen out of my window. That just didn't even make since to me. I asked the owners HSL to replace the windows as they are not insulating the house well and are a security issues and they said no. 4) After being here and in good standing for almost three years I asked to be released from my lease a month early and they said no. It's no like I tried to break my lease half way through my first lease. Nor did I just decide to leave and not pay. My life changed and I got a family and needed a bigger place and they refused to help.
