Apartment Review for Kellex Properties - Tucson, AZ

I lived in this complex over 6 years and was never late paying my rent. I was not under a lease, but when I gave my 30 days notice that I intended to move I was required to pay an additional month's rent. Throughout my tenancy I had numerous maintenance issues arise i.e., leaks in the bathroom, a noisy air conditioner and an old, rusty refridgerator badly in need of replacement(it was in this condition when I first moved into the apartment.) When I informed the landlord that a new fridge was needed he mocked me and put me off for 18 months, telling me that when I informed him of the need of a new fridge, he thought I was joking! As for the other issues, whenever they arose I immediately informed the landlord of whatever needed servicing. He in turn waited to perform the service as long as he possibly could hold out and when he finally did the service it was done so in the shoddiest way with the cheapest materials he could find. As far as the noise level, the tenants themselves are quiet and considerate for the most part. However, there were problems with barking dogs in the complex next door that disrupted my sleep nearly every night. I informed my landlord of this and he refused to address this issue leaving it to be my responsibility. I subsequently was forced to deal with this myself and file a complaint with animal control. In no way would I EVER recommend this complex to my friends or family, not even my worst enemy.
