Apartment Review for The View At Catalinas - Tucson, AZ

My 82-year-old mother had to endure a horrible, chronic roach problem at The View. She gave notice and moved out as soon as the lease expired. Just before Christmas, she received a bullying call from a collection agency on The View's behalf: The agency demanded $600 for carpet work. Never mind that The View management never sent or called my mother with a detailed bill documenting the extent of the supposed damage, the age of the carpet, how much of her nonrefunded damage deposit had already gone toward repairs, etc. When I called The View management office to try to work out an equitable settlement, I was met with complete indifference. The receptionist said the managers were too busy to speak with me, then hung up on me. I guess the managers have no trouble trying to damage an elderly woman's credit rating and to upset her at Yuletime, but they can't be bothered with actually laying the issue to rest in a timely manner.
